Operations and Safety

Regulatory Compliance

Sky Monkey operates in strict accordance with CASR Part 101 (1998) and CAR (1988) set by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).

Authority of Pilot

The Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC) has the final authority over all flight operations. We reserve the right to cancel or postpone operations if the RPIC deems the conditions (weather, technical issues, or airspace restrictions) to be unsafe or in breach of CASA regulations.

Site Access and Permits

The Client is responsible for ensuring Sky Monkey has legal access to the site. While we handle standard flight notifications, any specific local council permits or third-party land-access fees are the responsibility of the Client unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Weather Postponement

In circumstances of inclement weather for outdoor operations (high winds, rain, or low visibility), Sky Monkey will make every effort to reschedule at the earliest opportunity for no additional cost.

Sky Monkey will not offer re-shoot, refund, or accept partial payment in instances where a client fails to clearly specify the desired, non-inclement environmental conditions (sunny, cloudy, midday, sunrise, etc.) and footage is captured delivered outside of these expectations. Sky Monkey will make every effort to ensure the desired result is achieved in-line with our requirements from the client.
